Fashion Night Out

While I really didn't make plans to hit up Fashion Night Out as much as I did last year, I did hit up a few places. The one place that I had to hit up and I said I would be satisfied if I only got to go to was Sephora Flatiron district. The creator of Tokidoki Simone Legno was to be there creating artwork and signing autographs.

I have been a fan of Simone and Tokidoki for 4 years now and I want to thank my friend Karen for that. Karen introducing me to his handbags when he was working with LeSportSac and ever since then I have been collecting his handbags, clothing, accessories and toys!

When I actually got to Sephora I was amazed to find out there were only 5 people online and he was not only signing autographs but drawing a sketch for every one. When I finally got to meet him I was shaking like a leaf and so nervous but he drew a sketch on my iPhone and actually gave me tips on how to preserve it. When it was time to go he gave me a hug and a peck on the cheek and we took a picture together. I cannot wait till NY Comic Con when I get to see him again.

he was drawing this wall all night.

After hitting up Sephora I crossed the street straight to Madewell were I got to craft a cute bow with Erica of  Honestly WTF. The DIY was really simple and I made my bow with scrap denim and added dots and gold leaf.

After I went to Madewell I went to Free People to meetup with Candy and to see what the other half of Honestly WTF, Lauren had to DIY. Since I already had made my own wrap bracelets I grabbed one package to take home for a friend or a follower to do (Giveaway perhaps?)

I made this necklace, and I am gonna have to do a million of them because I got major complements on it.

Blue horse print sweater - Asos
Black sheer midi skirt - Thrifted
Black patent oxfords - c/o Bamboo
Grey floral socks - Goldtoe
Cream satchel - Urban Expression
Blue croc belt - NY&Co
Studded collar necklace with chain - my own creation

After spending time at Free People, Candy and I decided to see whats going on in SoHo and wow did we make a mistake. SoHo was crowded between Victoria Secret models at their store and the Kardashian sisters at Dash Soho was a mad house. But before Candy and I made a quick exit we ducked into Aldo to see their collection.

At Aldo we both fell in love with a pair of wedge cheetah and leather creepers. I am gonna have to hit up my local Aldo to try these on, I would love to have these for the fall season.

Also at Aldo we found this sales girl wearing a total DIY dress. This girl was creative using an old bra, Halloween costume, the plastic that holds up boots and studs she created this dress. She also told us about a blazer that she created too. Candy instantly got her info and I know this wont be the last we see of her.

 she even DIY'd her gloves.

After high tailing it out of SoHo we went to midtown and after some cotton candy and some craziness we met up with Ashley and stuffed some yumminess from Schnippers in our stomach. After eating Candy and I parted from Ashley and walked over to H&M on 5th and 42nd where I snapped up two tops.
